Executive Director of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries Mr. E. Odbayar participates in two panels in GIZ’s biannual Symposium on Economic and Social Development.
1. “Globalization – revisited”
2. “China‘s Increasing Role in the Extractives and Infrastructure” on September 11-13, 2018, in Bad Neuenahr, Germany.
The goal of the symposium is to assemble a panel of diverse participants to discuss the current developments in global trade policy and implications for economic development ranging from German political representatives, to international academia/think tanks, development country perspectives from Africa and Asia, as well as the private sector.
During the Plenary Panel session titled “Globalization’s Next Top Model – Can trade integration still work for development?” Mr. Odbayar will be speaking on Asian Trade Integration, representing the perspective of Asia from a think tank as well as policy point of view, specifically with regards to the Belt and Road Initiative.
