NIGER RATIFIES THE AGREEMENT ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INTERNATIONAL THINK THANK FOR LLDCS BY THE END OF THIS YEAR, SAID NIGER’S FOREIGN MINISTER

H.E. Mr. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia met with H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yacoubou, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Niger at the United Nations Headquarters on 20 September on the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Having briefed on the recent activities of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries H.E Mr. Munkh-Orgil stressed the importance of evidence-based research and analyses on real challenges and problems faced by the landlocked developing countries. Furthermore, the Mongolian Foreign Minister expressed his hope that Niger would ratify the Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of an International Think Tank for LLDCs at the earliest convenience. The National Assembly of Niger will ratify this agreement by the end of this year, said Niger’s Foreign Minister.
