On June 17, 2022, the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) held a brief ceremony for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the 2 organizations at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, with the ceremony being attended by the Ambassadors of member countries of the ITTLLDC and partner organizations.
The Signing Ceremony commenced with a welcoming address from Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od, Executive Director of ITTLLDC and opening remarks by Mr. Nikhil Seth, Executive Director of UNITAR.
During the ceremony, Chief of United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) Mr. Sandagdorj Erdenebileg, Director of Division for Prosperity of UNITAR Ms. Mihoko Kumamoto, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office in Geneva H.E.Ms. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations Office in Geneva H.E.Mr. Tenzin Rondel Wangchuk made remarks commending the MoU signing and expressed their high hopes for this cooperation agreement.
