H.E. Mr. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya, Under Secretary-General and High Representative for the LLDCs, at the United Nations Headquarters on 23 September in the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed his appreciation for the assistance extended to the Government of Mongolia for the organization of the National Workshop on the mainstreaming of the Vienna Programme of Action in last April in Mongolia and informed Under Secretary General about efforts on validating the Multilateral Agreement for the Establishment of an ITT for LLDCs.
Furthermore Minister requested UN-OHRLLS to support the ITT by all means to which the government of Mongolia attaches high importance.
Mr. Acharya highlighted the important role of the ITT for the implementation of the Vienna Programme of Action for LLDCs.
