Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bhutan visits the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries

Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bhutan His Excellency Lyonpo Damcho Dorji visited the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries on September 6, 2017 during his official visit to Mongolia.

Ambassador at-Large and Interim Director Mr. Erdenetsogt Odbayar welcomed H.E. Lyonpo Damcho Dorji to the UN HOUSE MONGOLIA where the International Think Tank is headquartered and briefed His Excellency about ITT for LLDCs’ latest achievements and activities in general.

Ambassador Odbayar highlighted the fact that the Multilateral Agreement for the Establishment of an International Think Tank for LLDCs will enter into force on October 6, 2017 and reiterated his hope that Bhutan will soon become party to the aforementioned agreement.

His Excellency Lyonpo Damcho Dorji expressed his congratulation to the ITT for LLDCs for its achievements and entry into force of the multilateral agreement and extended his best wishes to the entire team of the ITT for LLDCs while underscoring the significance of the ITTLLDC to all LLDCs.

Foreign Minister Damcho Dorji also underlined the firm commitment of the Royal Government of Bhutan to become a member of the ITTLLDC and informed that the National Assembly has already ratified the agreement and he expressed his certainty that the upper house will consider the ratification before the end of this year. http://www.bbs.bt/news/?p=72580
