International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries successfully organized a joint seminar on “Economic Impacts of Economic Corridors in Mongolia: An application of IDE-GSM” in association with Japan External Trade Organization’s Institute of Developing Economies on November 15, 2017, at the Conference hall, United Nations House, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
This event was the third event being organized jointly by the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries and Japan External Trade Organization’s Institute of Developing Economies.
The research “Economic Impacts of Economic Corridors in Mongolia: An application of IDE-GSM” aimed to provide some policy implications for better transport infrastructure in Mongolia by using Geographical Simulation Model developed by IDE-JETRO based on three economic corridors of Mongolia.
The joint seminar introduced results and findings of the research and encouraged debate among government officials, researchers, academics, think tanks, private sector representatives and others interested in trade and development related research.
