ETHIOPIA CAN BECOME MONGOLIA’S ACCESS POINT TO AFRICA

H.E. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia met with H.E. Tedros Adhanom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia at the United Nations Headquarters on 22nd of September on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Having briefed on the recent activities of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries, Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed his hope that Ethiopia would ratify the Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries at the earliest convenience.

H.E. Tedros Adhanom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia emphasized the two countries have to overcome similar challenges, since Ethiopia is the largest landlocked country in Africa in terms of territory as well as in terms of population and stressed the possibility of collaborating in the area of conducting joint research on best practices of the two countries how to overcome those challenges.

Furthermore, Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom underlined that Ethiopia could become an access point to Africa for Mongolia.
