Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki received Executive Director of ITTLLDC Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od at the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia for a brief courtesy meeting on October 19, 2022.
The Executive Director took this opportunity to introduce the mission and activities of the ITTLLDC to Ambassador H. Kobayashi. They talked about the challenges of landlockedness and how to be more proactive in raising awareness of these specific challenges.
Afterwards, the parties discussed potential collaboration possibilities for 2023 in the fields of research, workshops and capacity building seminars, where Executive Director also shared the details of some of the ongoing projects of the ITTLLDC, such as the capacity building project for officials from landlocked developing countries on trade negotiations that is being planned within the framework of the MoU with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
