Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Mongolia Visits the ITTLLDC

The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev, marked a historic visit to the offices of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC) at the UN House on November 17, 2023.

As a fellow landlocked developing country (LLDC), Ambassador Arziev engaged in discussions with ITTLLDC Executive Director Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od, exploring potential avenues of collaboration across various sectors.During the visit, the Executive Director provided an overview of the ITTLLDC’s activities, shedding light on its role as a think tank dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by landlocked developing countries.

Mr. Dulguun shared insights into ongoing projects, research initiatives, and policy advocacy efforts aimed at promoting sustainable development, connectivity, and economic growth for LLDCs.Ambassador Arziev, expressing a keen interest in understanding the intricacies of the ITTLLDC, engaged in a dialogue with Mr. Dulguun to explore the potential benefits of Uzbekistan’s participation in the think tank and the process of becoming a member country of the ITTLLDC.

The Executive Director provided a brief overview of the membership criteria and the collaborative opportunities available to member states within the framework of the organization, while their discussions focused on avenues for cooperation in areas such as trade facilitation, infrastructure development, and policy formulation tailored to the specific needs of landlocked developing countries.The visit of Ambassador Farhod Arziev signifies a significant step toward enhanced regional cooperation and underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges faced by landlocked nations.
