Ambassador-at-Large Mr. Erdenetsogt Odbayar met with Permanent Representative of Ethiopia, H.E. Ambassador Nigash Kibret in Geneva.
Mr. E.Odbayar briefed Ambassador Nigash Kibret on recent activities of the ITT for LLDCs, its upcoming publications and events including ongoing research Projects being implemented in association with the University of Sydney for LLDCs and handed over copies of the letters sent by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia calling on the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to accede to the Multilateral agreement for establishment of the International think tank for Landlocked developing countries.
“Ethiopia already signed the agreement in 2011 and is now undertaking all relevant steps necessary to ratify the multilateral agreement”
so Permanent representative H.E. Nigash Kibret.
He also thanked the Government of Mongolia for taking the lead with the International Think Tank for LLDCs raising awareness for the special needs and challenges facing LLDCs and providing evidence based solutions and recommendations for the LLDC community.
