The inter-regional meeting on “Partnership for innovation and technological capacity building for the Landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and landlocked least developed countries (LDCs)” was organized by the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar on September 2-3, 2019 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Experts in the field of intellectual property, innovation and technology from countries such as Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Bhutan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Niger, Azerbaijan and Mongolia attended in the meeting.
The meeting focused on building technical and institutional expertise in the areas of innovation and technology for the benefit of LLDCs and landlocked LDCs. In addition, participants and experts discussed and shared experiences and ideas on the issue of utilizing innovation and transfer of technology for supporting economic structural transformation of LLDCs.
World Intellectual Property Organization and UN Office of High Representative for the LDCs, LLDCs and SIDs gave presentations on the importance of innovation and technological capacity development, partnership for transfer of appropriate technology, using IP as a tool for development and economic competetiveness and role of Technology and Innovation for Structural Economic Transformation of LLDCs.

2019 оны 9 дүгээр сарын 2-3-ны өдөр Улаанбаатар хотноо Далайд гарцгүй хөгжиж буй орнуудын Олон улсын судалгааны төвөөс Дэлхийн Оюуны Өмчийн Байгууллага, Монгол Улсын Гадаад харилцааны яам, Монгол Улсын Оюуны Өмчийн Газартай хамтран “Далайд гарцгүй хөгжиж буй болон далайд гарцгүй нэн буурай хөгжилтэй орнуудын инноваци болон технологийн чадавхыг дээшлүүлэх түншлэл” сэдэвт бүс нутаг дамнасан уулзалт зохион байгуулав.
Тус уулзалтад Афганистан, Азербайжан Бутан, Балба, Буркина Фасо, Кыргыз, Лаос, Монгол, Нигер, Тажикистан болон Этиоп Улсын оюуны өмч, инноваци, технологийн чиглэлийн мэргэжилтнүүд оролцож, инноваци, технологийн чиглэлээр техникийн болон институцийн мэдлэг, туршлагыг бий болгоход голлон анхаарав.
Мөн тус уулзалт нь ДГХБО-ын эдийн засгийн бүтцийн өөрчлөлтийг дэмжих технологи, инновацийг ашиглах асуудлаар оролцогчид, мэргэжилтнүүдийн дунд хэлэлцүүлэг өрнүүлж, туршлага солилцов.
Дэлхийн Оюуны Өмчийн Байгууллага болон ДГХБО-ын асуудал эрхэлсэн Дээд төлөөлөгчийн албанаас технологи инновацийн чадавхыг бэхжүүлэх, тохиромжит технологийг нэвтрүүлэх хамтын ажиллагаа, Оюуны өмчийг эдийн засгийн өрсөлдөх чадварыг бий болгох болон эдийн засгийн бүтцийг өргөжүүлэхэд ашиглах тухай илтгэл тавив.
