NEPAL INVITES MONGOLIA’S FOREIGN MINISTER TO VISIT

H.E. Mr. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, at the United Nations Headquarters on 21st September in the margins of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil briefly informed about the new Cabinet of Ministers and stressed the need for expanding the multilateral cooperation taking into account of common cultural background of both countries.

Having briefed on the recent activities of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil highlighted the importance of evidence-based research and analyses on real challenges and problems faced by the landlocked developing countries. Furthermore, Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil presented the official letter of the President of Mongolia requesting the Government of Nepal to ratify the Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of an International Think Tank for LLDCs at the earliest convenience. Nepalese Minister indicated his full support in establishing the International Think Tank and kindly accepted to deliver the letter to it’s highest destination.
