During their visit to Geneva, the Secretariat of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC) had the opportunity to meet member countries of Bhutan and Lao PDR at their respective missions on June 15, 2022.
ITTLLDC Executive Director Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od invited Mr. Tenzin Rondel Wangchuk, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), and Mr. Boungnalith Southichak, Minister Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative of Lao PDR to the United Nations Office at Geneva, to the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between the ITTLLDC and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) that was being held on June 17, 2022 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The Executive Director informed them of the most recent ongoing activities of the ITTLLDC, such as the capacity building project for officials from landlocked developing countries on trade negotiations that is being planned within the framework of the MoU with UNITAR, including the PhD Programme for candidates from landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) that is being jointly funded by the ITTLLDC and the University of Wollongong of Australia, where Mr. Dulguun asked their Excellencies to circulate the programme in their countries.
Their Excellencies thanked the ITTLLDC Secretariat for the information and their visit, and expressed their continued support to the ITTLLDC as member states of the ITTLLDC.
